STS turbo questions
STS turbo questions Hey guys i don't know much about forced induction but i'm now considering a sts kit for my car. I have a 95 LT1 z28 with bolt on stuff and stock motor. I'm not looking to have a crazy amount of hp but i've had the car for 10 years and i need a little extra power! I think that's the way i want to go. Anyways i was wondering what is the best tuning option for it? Do i have to get a dyno tune or is mail order ok also??Also thinking to go with a meth kit so what boost can i run with that?? I've tried to search on here and read a lot about not going over 7 lb's but what about with a meth kit/intercooler?? Any help would be appreciated since i'm just learning about this stuff!! Thanks

dyno tune generally would be best.
I hear frost does really amazing mail order tunes.
if your running a 60e, it will die.
And if anybody could give some useful information on boosting the lt1s, that would help me as well.
Ima take the procharger offa my truck and throw on my 94 t/a t56 lt1.
Gonna throw some turbo back on my truck if and when i fix it....

i am building a sts kit right now on a ls1 trans am i am running meth and intercooled as well btw methanol is a bitch to set up and sts directions blow dick just sayiong but i have not ran my car or got it tuned yet it has set up real nice as far as piping and stuff goes dont expect a 4 hour install like i just read on another post not everything is as (bolt on) as they say we had to do some customizing but im doing a dyno tune and im not sure about boost yet either but good luck
