Default BOV as a BPV...

...Still somewhat confused!
On a supercharged application is it indeed acceptable to use a BOV in place of a BPV?
LQ/D1SC/Auto
Any explanations would help.
Thanks
Dom

TiAL 50mm BOV 6-9lb spring and you're good. That's what I had and it worked out well. When I used a heavier spring it only opened after I let off, so at part throttle/idle it wouldn't flutter and *could* slow or strain the impeller.

Tial 50mm bov worked fine on my D1 LT1 providing you aren't using mass air mode anymore and have switched to speed density or after market fuel management. I had to get a custom spring to get it to open at idle. I just picked one up at a local hardware store.

I'm glad this got brought up. Whats the advantage of running a BOV like a TIAL 50 over a procharger red race BPV or a vortech MONDO? And as said, it takes a custom spring to keep her open under vacuum?
