I hate to post this because i know ive seen it before but I cant for the life of me find it again,

theres a box hanging from the driver side frame rail just in front of the front wheel, what is it? I wanna say its the crash sensor that deploys the airbags but cant remember for sure

The rectangular one that's black on one half and metal on the other? Cruise control module is the only thing that comes to mind right in that area that I would call a box.

I moved mine into the driver's side fenderwell mounted to the frame rail a bit further forward. There is actually a fair amount of play in that cable attached to it so you can bring it forward. Here is a picture of where mine is at.

There was a threaded hole there perfect for reusing one of the mounting bolts to hold it in place on the right side of the module in this picture.
