5.3 or 6.0 turbo?
5.3 or 6.0 turbo? Hey whats up guys, i need a lot of help with my setup here. I got an 81 camaro, im either putting in a 5.3 or 6.0 in it along with a t56, im not planning on making this a track car, it will be my daily driver for the most part. This will be my first turbo setup, so i wasn't real sure what i needed to change. From what i've read, lower compression is always better, in which case i think ill go with the LQ4 with an LS6 cam. Should i change the internals? How much boost do i need to run? I was thinking of getting a Garrett T3/T4 turbo. What is considered "good quality" in the turbo world? Any suggestions/recommendations?
you could run the stock 5.3 or 6.0 and just throw the ls6 cam in there with a set of good valvesprings. go with a T4 turbo and if you dont feel like swapping heads, meth is always an option

Lower Compression isn't always good. Depends and on the gas your going to run. 93octane? then yes go a little lower, 93 plus meth? a little higher. E85(I suggest that) high 9's, race gas high 9s low 10's CR IMO.
Displacement is better yes. But this boost it doesn't make as big of a difference. So if building thr 5.3 is cheaper, I'd do that. Hell stroke it out.
