I have a thread over on yellowbullet that talks about turbocharging and we've discussed thermal coating. Seems the swaintech stuff is the best for heat retention.

They have their own website, quick google will get you there. They are quite a bit more pricey then having them jet hot coated. But its a superior coating so its back to what's in the budget

Swaintech. LOL

Here is a pic of it on LS2Formula's hot parts off the car.

On the car

It's a rough finish (think textured spray paint) and only comes in white as it is real ceramic. It can be painted with a high temp paint after the fact. It is also thicker than the Jethot type stuff and is only applied on the outside. You'll want to make sure that you are completely done welding any bungs or anything on the pipe because once it's on, it'll require grinding to get it off. It does turn to an offwhite/yellowish color once it's been on for a while.

There is a price list on their website. It has ranges of prices for different items. They don't tell you the price until they are done but they were on the low side of each category IIRC. It has to do with the size of the parts. Also, I imagine that you are using one stock manifold with that kit and it will also need coating. Make sure to factor that in.

I'm sure that there is someone local that does a jethot type coating but it isn't the same. That's not to say that it wont work well, it's just not the best.

Nothing that you can apply yourself works worth a damn.

I've used the swaintech stuff as well as a more traditional ceramic coating as well as heat wrap. Swaintech is right around the corner from me actually. They're coating is top notch but it is definitely pricey. From my experience, the heat wrap has worked the best. It doesn't look as pretty but it keeps underhood temps down the best and is by far the cheapest. Just my experience.
