What turbo do I need? Ok so heres the project:
Vehicle:
89 s10 rcsb 2wd
Engine:
5.3ls stock bottom end with ARP rod, main, and head bolts, stock 317 heads with 02-04 ls6 springs(.570 lift) ls6 intake and tb, 02-04 z06 ls6 cam (.550 lift 204*/218* dur. @.050 117.5 lsa)
Transmission:
T56 6spd, LS7 clutch kit
Rearend:
Ford explorer 8.8 with 3.55 or 3.73 gears and factory trac-loc
This is to be a street driven truck that will see the strip occasionally with drag radials. It will be fueled by PUMP GAS only and the objective rwhp is 5-550hp.
So as the title says "what turbo do i need"? I want something that starts to come on at 2500-3000 rpm that will pull past 6000. And something thats not maxed out at my desired hp range, meaning i would like to be able to turn up the boost and throw some race gas in it later on.
Any suggestions and/or input on this will be greatly appreciated!

There 100 different turbos that will fit that application. A 70mm with a P trim will make that power but won't leave a whole lot on the table. A better 76 like a PT offering with a bigger turbine will make plenty more but will come on a bit slower. Depends on budget as well. There's been some good threads lately discussing turbos in this size range, I'd do some searching.

The mpt70 is the one i got my eye on.
I thought about looking into Comp Turbo, seeing as they have an oil-less turbo forsale now and ive been considering doing a rear mount under the bed and that would work great!
