Default Gasket seat plug with AFRs

I really would like to run a completely non-projected tip NGK plug like the R5671A-8 on my motor but I can't find a taper seat equivalent race plug from NGK. I thought I had read somewhere that running a gasket seat plug on an AFR or stock casting is OK but figured I would ask around and see if anybody has experience with this?

After talking with the NGK guy on the phone he said they just tell people that want that plug with a taper seat to use a B8EFS. It doesn't have the V-power tip and just uses a standard one so it's not listed as a race plug but is constructed the same apparently. I guess I'll just use the B8EFS since I already have 8 of those sitting at home in my box but still wonder if using a gasket plug on AFRs works/seals correctly or not?

does it have a flat edge for the gasket to seal against? My ETPs can use either...

I can't remember right now and I don't have a set in front of me so I'm hoping somebody else might be able to check.
