Default Question about intake and head port not the same size!

Ok guys im tring to finish my build up, I bought a ported intake, and ported heads from different people. And my intake ports are larger than my head ports. I would say there is prolly atleast a 1/16 lip all the way around where the head port is smaller than the intake port. Obviously this is not ideal, and it would be better if the head port was larger. But will it really make that big of a difference? I know it will create some turbulance, but how much will it affect it? Intake is a majorly ported lt4, heads are ported Afr 220's, and I'm looking to run 20+psi. I have lt4 race gaskets and the head ports are about the same size, and the intake ports are larger!

Believe me, that 1/16 lip will not affect you at all, I have seen builds where the gasket was a slight restriction, smaller than the intake port, later due to an intake oil leak, the cust ported (clearanced the gasket to match) back on the Dyno........No Change....

I've been told there are gains to be had running a rectangle port intake on an oval port (BBC of course) head. Here is a similar (but not as drastic) situation.
