Default hot side pipe thickness?

Looking to order up some hot side piping for my truck manifold turbo set up. Looking around it seems some offer piping in 18 gauge and 16 gauge. I plan on getting stainless for the crossover and such. What is the most popular pipe thickness to use? any advantages either way besides cost?

I am planning on using 2.5 in stainless. The turbo will be braced so the piping will not have to hold the weight of the turbo.

DP will also be stainless

will 18 gauge be ok or worth the extra cost for 16 gauge? I am not sure if i want to coat or wrap yet, still undecided on that.

Thanks

Do it in schedule 40 stainless and forget about bracing it. Very thick stuff and you won't have to worry about it again.

16 gauge stainless would be my suggestion.

Use 16g, 2.5 is too big unless your trying to make 1800+hp.
