Default Head Studs vs. Head Bolts

whats the difference between head studs and head bolts?

I have head bolts now on my H/C/I lt1. I will be putting my new 383 in my car in a few weeks and need to know if i need head studs? i will be using stock cast LE heads and be running about 15lbs of boost.

does anyone know the P/N on LT1 studs?

I dont know the part number on studs for lt1's or if they are different from sbc head studs...you should run studs with boost. the studs (instead of pulling the head to the block and all the stress on the head of the bolt) pull from the top and bottom of the head putting the same amount of stress on both ends evenly causing it to have a higher point of stretch or tensile strength.
