Default TC78 with a 38mm wastegate

I was wondering if anyone could guesstimate what the lowest PSI I might be able to run on a 38mm Tial wastegate with a TC 78? I may be working with a pretty tight area and wasn't sure how tough fitting a larger unit there is going to be.

When I ordered my TC78, they recommended a 44mm when I said I only wanted to run <10psi on the street. They said it might boost creep. That's what I used & I've had no problems. Just a tidbit of info that probably doesn't help you

Thanks for the info....that's something to think about. I may affix the wastegate plumbing last to see what room I am working with and go from there.

370 with a tc78 ? Does it still have the 68mm turbine wheel ?
How is the backpressure? Does it choke up at all? And how much power are u making ?

Yes TC78.
Still 68mm wheel
No clue on back pressure but it could not have been good.
It pulled great at 18lbs but I never ran it at that.

I ran it at 9lbs and ran a 11.2@120 car was laying over really hard after the 330' after that I looked at the logs and my meth wasn't spraying and the car was overheating at the big end. I was slow by .5 in the 1/8th alone and missing 6-7mph.

Just took it off yesterday and ordered a S480 to put in.

You could run as low qas 4lbs with a tc78 and 38mm wastegate? I couldnt run lower than 8lbs with a turbonetics 62-1 and 38mm tial WG on 355ci. I just ordered a hurricane 78mm turbonetics (same as tc78) and was thinking ill def have to go atleast 44mm WG if i want to keep boost around 10lbs.
