Who Spec'd your FI camshaft?
Who Spec'd your FI camshaft? I am putting together a 5.3 turbo e85 engine with 317 heads and a mpt76 q trim turbo. I am wanting to get cam recomendations or see who I should get mine spec'd through. Not sure if any off the shelf cams are good but who did you use and was it right the first time?

the ls6 cam had proven itsself many times in a setup like that... just without the 317s.. that might drop your compression kinda low.. i think the 5.3 is at like 9.5:1 already not sure on the differnence in the chambers though...
stock 5.3 with the ls6 cam have been taken to to 600+ with a masterpower turbo..
to answer your question i got my cam from shawn @ VA speed. the VTC2 cam sould make the power i want and be great out of boost it will be a few month before its running though

If you want something quick off the shelf Speedinc.com sells some. The TU1 would prob go decent in the 5.3 as a drag car. Its a 225/225 .581? 113lsa.
I had the TU2 in my 370, made boost great and had the nice lumpy idle haha
