How much power are you looking to make? And how much boost do you want to run?

Are you saying your pistons have an 8.5cc dish or that you are at 8.5:1 compression? That being said what is your compression? For a rear mount deal I would look at a Turbonetics TC78 or T78 with a .96 or 1.15AR for up to 700-800rwhp. If you want 800+ rwhp I would look at a Borg Warner s475-s480. As far as a cam goes get with Ed Curtis, Speed Inc, Virginia Speed, or Mark at Bullet Racing Cams.

Those components might not work all that well together. Big ci motor is going to require something with a decently large turbine. A rear mount setup will help you as far as backpressure goes but it's also going to hurt in the lag department. If you were an auto, it'd be much easier. Or if you were going front mount, it'd be much easier.

That said, a TC will probably top out around 700hp, but spool would be ok. If you want more than that, I'd look into a PT88. The BW units can make a ton of power but their hotside is pretty large. You'd probably want to run a spool valve on anything larger than a TC.

Why not a GT5533 and be done with it. That is what I am going with on my 427, front mount for me though.

Could you run a smaller turbo like a TC76 or TC78 with a big inch motor and just up the compression, and keep the boost lower? Like a 9.8:1 418 with a TC76?

Not to be a dick, but why are you posting on a public board if you don't want public opinion? If you want expert advice, call one of the well respected turbo vendors on the board and talk to them. LMR, Virginia speed, W2W, Speed Inc, take your pic.
