Default Boost and vacuum operated gauges

Question; what happens to the stock vacuum operated gauges when a turbo or supercharger is added. Do you have to add a check valve to protect the gauges from boost or will they be alright?

What gauges are you speaking of? F-bodies have factory check valves on the brake booster and the signal line that runs into the cabin for the hvac door actuation.

This is for a 82 Monte Carlo and I'm mostly talking about the small diameter nylon lines to and from the heater control unit.

I would go ahead and add a check valve to prevent any damage.
