meth question
I am going to get my car tuned again in a couple of weeks. The first time didnt go well cause I maxed out my fuel system at 566hp. Now I have my two fuel pumps on with bigger fuel rails. I have a stage one snow meth kit not installed yet. Im in a delema if I should put it on or not. The main reason I want to put it on is to cool things down(less risk of detonation) until I get my forged rotating assembly since I am at stock bottom end. Im just afraid that if I put it on then am really pushing it on this 118k motor. How much hp do you guys think Ill gain? I also have front mount intercooler. thanks.

If you don't add additional timing due to the 35 to 40 degrees in reduced inlet air temps, then the meth won't add enough additional power to offset the added benefits of reduced detonation possibilities. Does that make sense, it's early? With forced induction I recommend using 100% methanol, a water mixture tends to put the flame out. You'll find you don't go through much methanol, and with your 91 octane fuel out there it will really help you out. Bob

with the stock bottom end you can still use the 100% meth, just back off the boost some so you not pushing it, the meth will do what bob says. also with meth it acts as a fuel so you fuel system can support more
