Default 347 tc76+ 50-75 shot???

building a forged 347 out of an ls6 block cnc ls6 heads and a tc76...

now i know im probably goin to run out of wind in the 6k rpm range

i also know i will be at full boost early in the power band...

so how bad of an idea would throwing a small shot of giggle gas (50-75 shot)
on top it ... would use it after it hits full boost to shift/redline to give it that extra kick just in case...

reason i would do it after full boost is fuel pressure would be steady after that..and wouldnt have to mess with changing fuel pressure...

would there be any issues with this? is it a bad idea for a turbo that is maxed out

info please i can get a n2o setup cheap and would like to have the "insurance" for thos pesky blown vettes out there..

just so you dont have to ask it will be full built fuel system that will handle it no problem...

thanks guys

Im not trying to offend you, but with all the posts i've seen you make in the turbo section and all the homework i've seen you do, why would you wind up getting a turbo you think will run out of steam over 6k rpm? Not that i think yours will unless you're going for 25psi or something crazy, just asking.

see alot of people just hitting a wall about 6k.. most of them are on 370s but have heard a few with smaller cubes also finding that wall..

im really hoping i dont i got a good deal on the turbo and am goin to run it for now... hope to be able to spin 65-6700...after i get another deployment under my belt.. im goin to go with some better heads and a better turbo..

i have been doing lots of research yes but you didnt offend me at all... im actually thinking of goin to a different turbo so i dont have to worry about hitting the wall..

If it's used and you already have it, i'd run with it and see what happens! Not like you'll depreciate it any more. Otherwise you may take a loss on it plus come more out of pocket on the bigger one. Get your foot in the FI door by getting it running and see what it'll do. It's gonna scream with that turbo or a bigger one either way i bet! But you should do well with that one with stock cubes and if you end up needing a little more, up it to a tc78! But trying what you already have is what i finally decided to do after a whoooole bunch of back and forth with myself and aggravating my buddies every time i had an "idea" about this or that! LOL Just my $.02 is all. GL with it!!

The 76 and 78 both have the same turbine side so it wouldn't help much... it is used and I plan on runnin it. Unless something pops up for an amazing deal.... then I will just keep the tc for something else.

Thanks for the input.

Anyone have anything about the small shot on top of this.
Thanks!
