Default 1.36 A/R 88mm with 408???

I searched with no results. I am ready to purchase a GT47 88mm turbo with a 1.36 A/R and am wondering if the A/R is going to be suitable for my combo. It will be a 408 with around 8-9:1 compression. This will be an all out race combo that I am hoping to eventually run in the X275 class.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

No to small. The 92mm turbine wheel in a race app will not support the power to compete in the X275 class. You need at least 67-69lbs/min of turbine flow to support 1400hp on a 408. The GT47 is not even close. We pick up 100rwhp minmum by switching to the GT55 turbine with the same 88mm wheel.

I'm planning on a 1.39 AR on my 88mm. I don't think you'll have any problem assuming you have a way to control timing/fuel at the line to help spool it up, but like Dr. Spool said, not sure how competitive you'll be in x275.

Thanks for the responses. If you use a GT55 turbine with a 88mm wheel do you have to be at the minimum weight for a GT55 turbo? I am guessing yes.

From what you are saying, it makes sense why I have a shot at 3 or 4 GT47 88mm turbos...
Thanks
