To me the engine looked amazing at the top of post 67. Super clean. Then you guys started to lose that look with all the stainless lines all over the place. It looks way too busy IMO. Is anyone else getting that feeling or am I the only one who thinks so?

LOL I will make a note of that if I ever have the pleasure of building you a car.

Whenever you do bold color schemes and such there is deff not going to be a way to make everyone happy. I accepted that a long time ago. But I am really happy so tiss all good.

Oh and here ya go. Hope the turbo didn't busy it up too much for ya.

While you guys were dreaming of my package I went out and got some more work done. Installing a turbo this large alone was a huge pain in the *****. But I couldn't wait!!!!!!!!

Lil close

Thanks! and soon i swear. I might have the mechanical all wrapped up in a few more days. I need to figure out then make vacuum line and coolant hoses. Shouldn't be too bad.

But then I have to wire the entire chassis still.

LOL. I didn't mean it like that.

I wasn't talking about the color scheme, as a matter of fact I like what you've got going with the gold. It was the lines everywhere that kinda looked goofy to me. Guess I'm the only one who saw it that way.

Turbo looks nice mounted.

No offense taken. Hell some things aren't even my favorite but sometimes aesthetics need a slight sacrifice for the end goals.

Here have some pics....built more stuff.

Get all this stuff

Do a bunch of measuring and cutting.

Do some welding

Now look at what we have! This was just a test fit all the silicone was uncut. I did some trimming and everything fits perfect with good airspace everywhere.

Some perspective of how big the turbo is ha

Added a bung for a return from the steam tank as well

-12AN

I have been crushing many beers as of late and really working hard at the car. These have been my fuel

Did all of the vacuum lines

Added a 6-rib pully next to the alt to get better belt wrap without power steering in place. Srry didnt take pics really

Installed turbo blanket, filled coolant, oil, clutch is bled, brakes are bled etc etc

how the wiring started

what luke claims isnt madness

everything that has been eliminated

where it is as of now

I started the day by installing the aerocatch hood latch system(love it and works great...buy them)

This is what Luke got that entire mess of wires down to. It is in the car now and looked great when he taped and wrapped it all but I didnt take any pics lol

Made this battery tie down, bought some threaded rod, grabbed this batter from FinalGTS's garage(thanks Dan!) and installed it all behind the passenger seat.

Engine ground that is installed from block to frame rail under the car so you don't see it

Finally the front end is coming together. It almost looks like a car again!

The other day after about a 12 pack 8hrs of working on it and not being able to fit my hand to put something on I started yelling about it being 800lbs of **** in a 1/4oz. bag haha

Also some bad news I realized a weld on the rad is leaking so I have to take the bumper off to get to it. I really should have pressure tested it before I installed everything. Newb mistake as it is leaking SO LITTLE out of a pinhole spot.

My thought process was
"man i should jb weld it and not tell anyone"
followed by
"man I have drank tooooo much to be thinking of anything"
