Default Viton seal install

I wish there was some kind of instructions on how to install these but Im at a loss. Ive got 4 on there so far and I just dont know if they are correct. I know it is ok to have a little gap between the seat and the seal but that seems a bit subjective to me. Also, what socket size should I be using? Im using an 8mm right now, I thought that would keep the seal from tearing out but it looks like it might be bending the spring? Im not sure if its ok for the spring to be a little out of round or not...

Help!

Applying a thin coat of oil in the seal would help from tearing them.

Switched to using a 13mm socket and things went alot smoother. I replaced some of the bent springs with ones off the stock seals.

Now my Lunati golds are on and looking pretty.

As always, thanks tech.

The valve spring locators are seperate from the seals with the Lunati kit. The stock ones are one piece which would seat itself. Also the Kent Moore tools is made for the stock one piece. Trust me...I tried to use it on the Lunati valve seals.
