How confident are you guys in this transmission being able to hold up to sustained abuse at this power level?

This might be an odd question. How fast did the car go on the dyno? It is capable of measuring speed too, correct? Assuming the pull was done in 4th gear, same as it will be run in the mile. Or did you not run it to it's full potential on the dyno? Just curious.

Very nice work guys

It will be a differant beast on the road for sure. I think this car is going to see all six gears in the mile.

They have a high gear in the rear and plus 6th gear could never handle the torque.

Just has to last the weekend then we can throw in the gutter and go buy another.

it went 208 in 4th gear before the rear gear swap. Changed to a 2.56

That part of racing! Something you have to facter in are only going to last one round/run. Then you throw them away and run another one. To find/get build a box to take thsi power and last would probably cost alot more than just swapping the box out every event! so in the long run this is the cheaper option.

Chris.

Yeah I am going to disagree. Build it to last. I am sure a better trans will go in after this one is destroyed. you have to pick 2 out of 3 Fast,Reliable,Cheap. Pretty sure LMR doesnt do cheap. But I do realize this is 1800+ hp car ***** going to break no matter what. Like you said thats racing. I know for myself how bad it sucks at times
