These things spin tens of thousands of RPMs. I wouldnt bet my motor on a 12 year old chinese kid balancing a turbo correctly.

In my experience the eBay turbos are too bad quality wise. The problem I had was figuring out what thy gave me. They claimed it was a t70 and listed the specs, when I got it a measured it was only 61mm... could only muster 4psi. Then I bought a brand new tnetics t72 and in about six months a seal went bad on that. I sent it back to tnetics, they fixed it and I sold it. I think the eBay Turbo actually lasted longer than the tnetics did. I actually still have it sitting on a shelf. Its hit or miss with the eBay stuff. How much did you want to spend? Vs racing over on theturboforums.com is selling precision 59mm t4 turbos $549. That's a goo price for a good name brand warrantied Turbo.

I suppose that if I showed a vid of one with bad seals or out of balance shaft that you would provide the same response. No one is saying that brand name turbos dont have their problems, were just saying the ebay turbos are more prone to them.

If you really dont have enough money to spend an extra 2-300$ on a new Masterpower turbo or a used name brand maybe FI isnt for you.

I keep hearing the ebay turbo I have is prone to more problems, but have yet to see one fail...so how do you get off calling them junk. ya there are bad ebay turbos, ones with glued togther housings....but im not talking about those.

it isnt about the money, 300, 400 $600...if a turbo for 300 does the same as one for 600...why spend more?

I'd go with a cheap hx turbo if you can otherwise best of luck, eBay turbos are hit or miss, some last forever some last well you get the idea

Curious to see them. I know a lot of guys end up going with the Master Power turbos on their kits so they have a few spare 70 and 76mm turbos sitting around. If I can find a good used 70mm Master Power turbo in the next few months I'll go with that but if I can't I'll be going with these guys.

Default TT HX35's on 6.0 LQ4

Hi tripblackls1,

I was thinking of running twin HX35's on my 6.0 LQ4 with BBK SSI car intake and a comp turbo cam in my 74 camaro with turbo 400 trans & brake. I will run pump gas, meth injection and air to air intercooler. This car will be street strip with lots of 1/8th mile strip runs. Race weight will be about 3400lbs with me in it.

Have you run these twin HX35's? A lot of people say to run them and the turbo maps look good. But so far I have not found any build threads with someone actually running twin HX35's on a 350 CID sbc or a LS1 or LQ4 etc. Only problem I heard of is the turbines are very small so will be great quick spooling for street response, but they may have a bit of back pressure. The compressors are 52, 54 or 60mm I believe. Ideally I want something to spool quick for great street response yet be good for about 750 rwhp to 850 rwhp for the strip. I am looking for low 6's or better yet high 5's in the 1/8th.

Anybody anywhere actually running twin HX35"s? Have a build thread link?

no i have not personally ran twin hx35, i use to run them on my turbo 4cyl all the time with great success (only one of coarse lol) it was not uncommon to make almost 350 fwhp on street tune with one, i dont remember there comp map off the top of my head but i believe there right in the ballpark of what you want for twins, and if you think they maybe on the small side for your goals look into the hx40, there about the same price wise and i believe there a tad bigger
