My pants woulda been no good after that. The sigh of relief at the end is great.

Yeah the parking brake handle is the chute release. It was definately a rush. At the end I am like pheew that was nuts, and I took a deep breath. I think I stopped breathing for a few seconds there.

Nice save indeed! Looked like the chute helped keep the back straight enough to keep it from getting too squirrely! I'd have freaked out at 60mph with a blow out like that, 220+mph, screw that lol

It's hard to tell from the video but did you pull the chute because of the blowouts or was that when you were going to pull it anyway? Nice job either way!

^ I kind of thought the same thing. It looks like the tires went when you pulled the chute. The sudden change of direction in force looks like it took out the tires.

I felt a little wiggle in the rear and if you watch real close you can see it. Once I felt that it was just a reflex to pull the chute. It is crazy looking at the racepak data because you can see every little movement in the car. Thats how i figured out that the wheel was spinning inside the tire and caused the tire to dismount.

Does it make sense to develop active aerodynamics to keep the rear end down and straight?, e.g., a rear wing that can be raised via pneumatics upon braking.

Nice job. I know when I cracked a front wheel in half doing 80mph when I hit a chunk of concrete it scared the **** out of me. I can't imagine what 220 and a rear wheel coming lose must have felt like.

Good to see you weren't hurt, but I can't say I'd have the ***** to go back at it the next day, maybe it's having 2 small children, but I give you credit.

Good job.
