Clint,
We were at .033 last year and experienced some missing a one or two races. I'm thinking of reducing the gap to .030. Whatdoya think?

Hey there Steve. I'm sure your running a TR6 plug or another cold plug like the TR6's. .030 will be just fine. You could even run a little smaller than that. I would run them at .028" Supra guys running over 20psi of boost sometimes go down to .025" or .022" to aviod "blowing out the spark". Your not really blowing out the spark since your not running that much boost. It's the Combo of wet NOS and Boost that makes your plugs, shall I say "go to **** fast". If I were you I would change the plugs more often than not. After every few big runs to so. Or check 1 plug after a few runs. Check #7, Driver side back. That one seems to be the cylinder that LS1's have problems with. If #7 is going bad then change them out. I know kinda a pain in the ***. But # 6 and 8 are pretty easy to get to from up top. That's how I do it, from up top. All you need to do is take off your coil packs and valve cover on the pass side to get to them. It's easier than putting the car on a lift and getting to them from below.

Also I've heard not to use the new NGK irridium plug that costs $6 bucks or so each. I've heard of people having problems with them. I would stick with the tried and true TR6's....

Take care Steve..

Clint

Thanks for the suggestion, I was thinking of narrowing the gap a bit.

As luck would have it, I just bought some TR6IX plugs, that NGK recommended for blown motors.

You can always try them. I would just to see how it goes. You can always take them back out if there is a problem.
