Default LT1 boost cam for 76mm?

What would be a good cam spec for a 383ci Lt1 with a 76mm turbo? Car is going to see lots of boost and will be run on e85. Has anybody built something similar to my setup and what cam did you use? Thanks.

What 76mm turbo are you running? A Isky 225/225,.540(1.6 rocker), 114 would work well with a 383/76mm PT76, or GT42, or Tc76 style turbo. . Get the cam too big and you will be choked up top unless you have a bad *** 76mm like a GT45, or S400. Then you could go with the 234/234, .560", 114

I have a PTE 76GTS LE2 heads and intake. I thought a 114 lsa would be really bad for a turbo motor?

Depends on who you are talking to. I have had best luck with the tighter LSA's. 114 is on the wide side for me.

I wouldn't run the forward exh split with that turbo, and CI. 230/230 is as big as I'd go maybe even 230/226.... JMO With that exh side you are going to start choking up around 5500RPM maybe sooner Im afraid. My TC76/364CI 6.0L Is done at 5200 regardless of cam. You have another almost 20CI and only a tad larger turbine.

Cam will be fine... should make peak power to 6000rpm.

It wouldn't hurt to email LE since you got his heads.

I should be going through the traps around 5500 and 6000rpms so hopefully the turbo will get me there.(fingers crossed) I really wish I had the money for a larger turbo, oh well maybe next year. Realquick do you think there is any power to be gained by going to say a 230/230 or a 230/226 instead?

I bet you wouldn't see much difference in power between the three to be honest, so I would run it if you already have the cam. I ran the 230/236 114LSA N/A with LE2's and made peak power @ 6000rpm, so you should be fine going thru the traps. Now, iuf you don't have a cam yet, certainly look around and talk to people like cam motion, LE, etc.

I have not purchased one yet. Still trying to do my homework and decide which way to go.

Lloyd emailed me back. He suggested going with a 224/224 .560/.570 114 LSA cam as long as I upgraded my valve springs.
