dragonforce (and no not the band) so i recently discovered the dragonforce 1000m ROOTS supercharger for the ls series engine. they claim that theirs fits just fine. there are pictures on the website below v

Yes...it causes problems...I'm not bashing but there is 2 long *** threads on it in the vette forum. The way the intake/plenum is designed is horrible and gives extremely bad flow. Long story short the first whipple unit over-heated and the screws expanded until they hit each other and the case. Second one was better and install was smooth but they could not tune it do to the manifold. The runners are actually bellow the head ports so the air goes up and hits the roof, then goes straight down hits the floor/valley, then finaly shoot back up into the blower. I bought their kit from a buddy of mine who whent thru some money troubels. I never got a chance to install it cause I was going to build a motor. Then I came across the threads on the corvette forums so now it just sits. Maybe they improved the kit, but the owner did say he was stopping production. Might wanna give them a call

I have been wondering why we never here anything about this kit on here. If they truly have gotten a twin screw to fit under an fbody cowl then this should be a hot subject! Has anyone on here ran this kit?
we have first hand experience with their stuff. The intake design is so poor that all the blower does is make heat. There is a reason nobody has made one low enough to fit under the cowl-too many compromises in the intake.

well im glad you guys let me know its not worth it before i got my hopes up too high. i mean they were up there but they could have been a lot higher. **** *** man... lol
