Default Need a opinion on the setup

Here is the perdicament Im in, I built my engine to be NA and maybe some nitrous, now I came across this very nice complete turbo kit.
Mine compresion is around 11:1 with 90mm fast intake and ported and milled ls6 heads. I was wondering how much boost (if any) I can put at it on pump gas and how much on race gas. Also my car is a 98 so is tuning going to be an issue?
Any input will be appriciated

Back at the old EPP shop we put 7 psi of turbo boost to an 11.0/1 combination, we added methanol injection to it and it ran great. Not sure how much more boost you could add with race gas. The '98 computer can get it done with a good tune. Bob

By any chance do you remember what kinda power it was making. I know that my cam is for NA aplication and it will make a big difference if I swap it, but for now I just want to know the ballpark figure. Thanks for your input.

It was at 700 rwhp and it pulled like a freight train. Bob

the high compression will help spool and make good power out of boost but it will limit you when you wanna turn the boost up later. i ran 8 lbs on my 11.4:1 AFR headed (58cc chambers) and made "better" power than when i moved to ported 317s later (72cc chambers). although with the 317s it allowed me to turn it up to 16 psi. for street driving the higher compression was more friendly and less abrupt. what do you plan to do with the car then make your decision.

60s will do fine. i used them on my ble car and made over 700 hp. they are pretty much maxed out after that. another route you could go to help combat detonation would be E85.
