Default boost rings

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLP-R-1911245

the only thing i see wrong with going with these rings are that they are a 4.040 bore and im running a 4.030 piston could i file them down enough to a 4.030 anyone done it? i really dont want to spend 300 bucks on a set of total seal steel rings unless it is completly nessesary, or i hear that they are 100% worth it.

thanks
seth

You can but it's a lot to file, and going to have a lot of tension on top of the high tension they already have. Also you will need to file the oil ring, and check for binding at the rail spacer. Might check into the racetec steel top, napier 2nd. They are a nice piece.
