Fi cam question Could i run a centrifugal blower cam in a turbo motor ? the motor is a forged 408 ls3 style heads with 9.5 to 1 cr and a t56 trany . Just wanted to know if a blower cam will leave power on the table ? the cam i was looking is a comp cam 54-478-11 thats the part number .
I would get a turbo speced cam. Blower cam is going to be less than ideal in turbo set up. I sold off my comp blower cam when I made the switch to turbo. As the 2 cams are VERY different
x2. Get a off the shelf or custom turbo cam for the biggest gains.
The only double duty that I know if is the Lingenfelter GT2-3. It is very mild but does well in s/c and turbo applications.
