Default Is my LS1 worth messing with?

I have a 2000 TA with the LS1 (obviously) and I am trying to set out a plan for the future. I want to do a turbo setup in the car that makes close to 800hp. My question is would it be better (cost efficient/ reliable) to build the bottom end on the LS1 with some better heads and just use it. OR go the 6.0 route? I know there are some companies that sell 6.0's already built for boost that are in the 4000 to 7500 price range, and there is always the LSX. Just wanting to get some opinions from folks who know more about it than I do. And does anybody know if running the L92 heads on the LS1 is a good option? Thanks for any advice.

You could see 800 for sure with a forged 347 and a properly sized turbo kit. Or you could go the 6.0 route, either way. Depends on what you feel like spending really

You can't run L92 heads on your LS1 the bore size is too small, you need a 4" bore minimum that being said a 6.0 with forged pistons and rods and L92 heads will get you to your goal quite easily and should live for quite awhile with a good tune.
