Speed Inc Alternator Upgrade?

Speed Inc Alternator Upgrade? For you guys who have the Speed Inc. Alternator bracket, have you upgraded to a higher output alternator (higher idle output and more capacity) to still fit on this bracket and clear the head? I have insufficient voltage ever since I put this on.
I am lucky to get to 13 volts, heat brings down the voltage as well (i am sure typical with most alternators). When the fan kicks on I measured it at 11.99 volts. I do have an underdrive pulley and if I need a smaller pulley on the upgraded alternator that might help additionally.
Any input? I saw a post of someone who had upgraded but didnt specify what alternator.
