Default What to do?? Change shortblock? Redo mine?? Cheap!

I currently have a nitrous setup and want to do a turbo setup over the fall and winter, so i want to figure out now what i need to sell and buy and what to do. The current motor is a Ls6 block, stock crank, eagle h rods, domed diamond coated, gas ported pistons (mahle nitrous pistons) 243 ported heads, ls6 intake manifold. Trex cam

My car is a 87 foxbody with a TH400 trans... My goal is 500-700 whp..

I dont know a ton about internal engines but if im boosting and not trying to spend a ton of money what should i do here.. Should i redo my current setup and change pistons. Or pickup a stock ls1 and throw some rods and pistons in it.. and sell my shortblock? Also TRex cam any good for boost?

Right now im planning on doin a truck manifold single like T-76 turbo kit.

Any input is appreciated

I'd just get new pistons and cam. The rest will work. Get an LS6 cam....cheap and works great. Watch the classifieds section, people list new pistons there all the time. Maybe someone will trade you?

Or depending what compression you have now.... maybe a set of 317s would work. What compression you got? By "domed" im guessing big.

Stock 5.3 and have fun keeping the boost under 14lbs. Should be able to pick one up for under 1k. Thats cheaper than good pistons n rods in my book....
