Build thread: '98 Firebird: '02 LS6 +E85 +Turbo (c6 manis, keeps AC/radiator/Ram Air)
Hey all, my car was formerly a V6 in which I had built a custom turbo kit and blew a piston.
Many years and an engine swap later, I'm back and working on a new single turbo kit. This kit will be DIY fabricated with the intent to keep the cost down as much as possible. Planning on moving the battery to the rear, hoping to keep the radiator and fans stock and in place AS WELL as maintain AC with a C6 stock manifold setup over turbo K-member.
I am planning on converting to E85 with the new boost, but waiting until then so I can get the timing advanced properly.
I want to run 7-8 psi or whatever I can get by relatively safe with the colder charged e85 and proper tuning on my setup.

I'd make sure there's no metal on the other sides of those welds that could break loose and find its way into your engine since it looks like there's some spatter. Is your cold side stainless or mild steel?

some slow updates
-catch can is routed
-oil lines are finished
-piping is fully fabricated and at a machine shop ensuring my welds have no issues or holes.
still need to build downpipe, provision the wastegate on the hotside, hook up vacuum/boost gauge ****, etc.
