Default Paxton S/C Question

hey guys, first post! i was hoping i could get some info/words of wisdom about the mod i'm about to do to my truck... i'm about to put a Paxton centrifugal supercharger on my stock 04 chevy 5.3 and i was hoping someone could give me some advice on how to go about it.

its only running 5-7 psi so i figure i should be fine with my pistons and what not, but i needed to know if i would need to get it tuned.

it did not come with piping or belts or anything, so some advice about what length belt to get and how to reroute the pullies would be awesome. im planning on using spectre cold air intake tubing as the piping. figured that taking that route would probably work with that low of boost and would definitely be the easiest/cheapest.

may make my own bracket, dnt know yet... the supercharger came off a 350 and has 430 original miles on it.

thanks for yall's input!

When you say a 350, do you mean an older SBC or one of the newer ones(346)? I didnt know Paxton didnt anything with the older ones, and was pretty limited on the new style.

i was talking about like a 90s model 350. my plan was to fab everything up and put it on my ls1, but after talking to some shops today i'm not so confident on the idea. =s

they told me that without the full kit it would be a LOT of fab work and would take a lot more time and money than i was planning on spending to do it right. i was trying to get out of it for 750 or less... but something i really wasn't considering was the fact that i would probly need a new fuel pump and new injectors. and then after that possibly a custom tune... and for a college kid thats a lil much.

I think if you do the all the work yourself minus the tune you could get it setup for around 1000
