maybe you should learn how to write a proper title?

and a BTM and 2 STEP are two different things. run both if you want.

relax, boi.

I gave you a dumb answer since you have a dumb title.

You might get more help if your question was the title. If anybody is like me, they are going to skip right over it because nobody wants to waste their time opening this tread.

Timing retard does exactly as its name states it does, retards timing via a map sensor placed in the charge piping. It retards the timing once it senses boost at a set rate for the amount of boost you are running.

A 2 step is a device that connects to your coil packs on an ls motor and a switched ground such as a clutch pedal or transbrake or line loc via a momentary button. Once the set launch or burnout or shift rpm is reached it cuts timing to the coils to keep the rpm's at that set step. Most with a manual use one for a burnout step and one for launch. Some of the other 2-steps or '3-steps' can do burnout, launch, and shifting so you can no lift shift safely with rpms cut and timing cut until the pedal is engaged again. With an auto people will use one to stage their burnout rpm and one to launch. I use 4800 rpm for my burnout and 3800 rpm on my launch.

Youre an idiot, Learn forum etiquette. The internet is going to be around for a while longer so Id get use to it. This question would have been answered within hours if you just put "MSD timing retard vs MSD 2 step?" Its really not that hard. Think of it like a thesis statement on a thesis, or dont you have those in "your world?"

In b4 lock.
