Default sts turbo problem need advice:/

i have rear mount sts set up on my 99 trans am and i just recently had the cats cut off and i put heat wrap on well it ran great 10x better than before the cats were cut off i was spooling way quicker but after a few days i realized i was not building boost(well as my gauge read it wasnt) it was reading a few pounds at full throttle and it should be at 6 or 7 i have had this happen and i blew a hose off but i couldnt find a split or disconnected hose.....so now im wondering if there is anything else tht could be wrong, the turbo is still spooling up but no restricted power band leads me to believe its not a faulty gauge any suggestions!!!!:/

Yup that's definitely possible. Recheck your welds around where the converters used to be. May have cracked going over a bump.
