building ls1 for boost.help
building ls1 for boost.help my plans are to make 650rwhp on 16lbs or less maybe.im wanting to put mahle forged pistons in it and scat i beam rods.anyone know the correct part numbers on those and wheres the best place to buy them?its stock bore.other mods are vtc2 cam,prc dual springs,ls7 lifters,ported ls6 oil pump,ls2 hd timing chain.rear mount mp70 turbo.im gone be upgrading to a 76mm soon and prob 317 heads.still debating on that.it has 853s now.thanks,josh
i've research and found out stock rod length is 6.098.the pistons and rods i was thinking about using is mahle ls1314898f04 and scat 26125716.the rod length on them is 6.125.im using stock crank and stock bore.does anyone know how these would work for a boosted motor?i didn't know if longer rods would help or hurt me in any way.someone plz explain this to me thanks,josh
