Looking for some feedback on my ideas for a TT build. I've been pooling money and ideas to complete this project. I've also been doing some reading and from what I'm getting I might be going overboard for my goals. This will not be my first TT car, but will be the baddest. Not really so focused on a power level as I am what the car will be capable of time wise. My goal is a car that could be capable of getting into the high 9's at the track, but will see a lot of runs in Mexico though a 6 speed. I might swap trans to an auto at a later date to make the 9's happen. Here is what I'm thinking about for the power plant. This will all be going into a 98 T/A with t56 behind it all run through a Midwest rearend w/ 3.73's.

TSP small bore ls7 or TF 225 heads
Fast 102 w/ bigmouth 102 TB
What I've been thinking is selling the lq9 I have and just going with a forged 346 ls1, bolting on a LS6 intake with a 78mm Loud Mouth going with a set of 317's or prc heads. I figure this would save me enough money to take a big chunk out of the rest of the little stuff I'm going to need. Would I be selling myself short to go that route?
