Turbo or Supercharged LY6
I don't want to change the cam or intake or swap over to a car or vette accessory drive. All I want to change is the oilpan and I might even shorten the stock one if everything else clears.
The 57 has more than a foot of engine setback so I'm hoping I can clear everything like steering shafts and a arms with the stock truck accessories.
I called Mast and they said with a tune and headers a stock LY6 will make 410HP.
Adding their cam will bump it to 480 or so, all using a stock truck intake and throttle body.
I've seen some posts here about using an LY6 but they always put on a car type intake and accessory drive.
I want to get it running stock and eventually either turbo it or use a belt driven supercharger.
BTW I will run E85 and want about 650HP or so.
I figure there must be some truck systems out there that I could use, I'd prefer a supercharger so I can reuse the stainless headers but I might go turbo.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Rwhp, it will be a cam, headers and tune....for 410...
For only 650 rwhp, Id just put a 5.3 in and turbo it now. Save money and make the power that is along ways off the other way.
I have a 57, that I havnt sized up yet for the future ls swap, but in the stock position there isnt that much room I didnt think? Is yours set back from oem?
Twin 35's on the ly6 should net 650 on pretty low booost. Probably capable of 800-1000.

Take a look at the above tuner kit from ProCharger, that is meant for the 07-10 GM Truck. Bob

Yes my 57 has lots more engine setback than a stock tri5, it's a custom 4DHT that's been heavily modified starting with the top being removed 4 years ago. Been driving it as a homemade roadster ever since.
Now I'm moving on to complete my custom probably unlike any other out there.
The body is getting shortened 20 inches like a "shorty" but I'm using a stock length frame. The front fenders and hood are getting stretched 20"(easy on a 57 because it has a straight hoodline unlike the 55 and 56 which have a tapered hood).
I'm using a Hotrod Jim's C4 chassis with coilovers and Dana 44 rear.
That belt drive Pro Charger does look good and is probably about what I'll probably end up running. Who knows maybe a used one will come on the market as someone moves up to a larger unit.
Lots of work to go but I've got most of the parts and the best hotrod shop around to do the work.
I'll keep you posted of my progress.
