Default 370 or 383 steel or aluminum?

My question is how well will the aluminum block (stock 5.7) handle 800+ hp vs. doing a 370? Either way I'm buying rods. But instead of spending $600 on a 6.0 liter I would rather not carry the weight and put a couple $$$ more towards a crank. Am I giving up reliability?

There is a guy with some 6.0's cheap north of wichita. But 800 you could do a 346 and be a little more reliable I think than 383, now a 370 is easy to do it with without too much boost.

Go with the 6.0 for the larger 4" bore. It opens your valve size selection and flow potential.

If people are making 1000rwhp on 370ci setups and stock cranks.... why waste your money on a forged crank?

BTW- In the classifieds I'm selling a built 364ci iron 6.0 setup.
