Congrats on the record, finally now I'll have some motivation for my rx7 again! |
Congrats ! I can't wait to show this thread to my buddy...I told him If he wanted his foxbody to be fast drop an ls in it with a turbo and call it done ! |
Swapped Lexus? Details! |
Iat's through the traps? Do you have it pulling timing on the top end? Ever had the thing on a dyno? Congrats on the times. |
That thing leaves badass & hauls out the back too. |

What did you run to the 1/8th 5.8x? What was the x and mph? What was your 60' on that run. Just judging by your trap speed at 154 and his at 147 your car is a lot lighter than his. http://s31.photobucket.com/albums/c3...t=IMG_2069.jpg I really think sub 8.50's at 165+ is doable in my car, I honestly lost motivation with it as I did mostly street racing and not a lot to race in that range around here. I'll get the cage certified and the car back together in spring, should race at 150lbs lighter than before with ease and another 175-200rwhp than my 8.9 pass. That motor is now in my ltd, need to strap it down, but should be making 850rwhp at it sits vs my 686rwhp it made in the rx7 with the turbo that wasn't as good. I should be hitting the track early next month in the ltd, I want to try to hit 150mph in the 4 door on the stock shortblock. |
Do you guys think the success you have had with stock blocks could be had using say a fuel like vp109 unleaded or even a gas with more octane like c16? E85 is what 116? |
Damn Skinnies, 850rwhp in a car that weighs next to nothing? That's will be a crazy ride. |
|
Wow, you guys keep setting the bar higher and higher! I will be attempting to go after this myself in the spring. With a 6.0 and 88mm turbo as well. Congrats on the new record! Keep at it! |
great job did you ever dyno the car |

IAT's are maxing the sensor, at 215 degrees a second after the transbrake, is let go. But the sensor is before most of the injectors. Only two 95 lb injectors are in the pipe from the turbo to the TB. timing is pretty much flat after 3 or 4 lbs boost. It was on the Dyno one time, just after built, it has evolved a bunch from then, tho. It only put down 600 on a Mustang dyno at that time, around 15 lbs boost. |
