Conventional or Synthetic Oil
Conventional or Synthetic Oil Which type of oil "conventional or synthetic" is best for the motor and turbo (being that the turbo produces so much heat) or does it matter? Will either of the oils provide less protection? The oil will be changed every 1500 miles.

Is synthetic really worth the money? Many have never had issues with conventional (me included) and I have always had the opinion that at regular 3,000 mile oil changes, conventional is fine, but if 5,000-7,500 mile oil changes are the goal, synthetic is the way to go. I am from the old school and could not leave oil in an engine over 3,000 miles.
Also look at your oil filter choices as well. They are not all equal.

synthetic is better, no coking, also get something high in zddp, valvoline sells VR1 synthetic racing oil that is good and high in zddp
