magnacharger or new car ?

Default magnacharger or new car ?

Hello everyone. I've got a stock 02 M6 TA. I'm considering FI, most likely a magnacharger. After seeing the new 500 hp+ cadillac, I'm depressed with this stock LS1. Is it worth the time and money to add a SC or turbo etc, with all the possible related breaks and failures or just sell the TA and get a Cadillac ?

Get the caddy.

It is only 35K more than your TA with the blower.

TA will be more fun and cheaper. But new cars are nice. If money no object get the caddy.

Now, why could'nt we all here think the way you do, we all could have been driving a ZR1, Cobra super snake, GTR, Ford GT40, Audi R8, and so on.

In all seriousness, if you don't want to deal with any bs or can't handle that kind of stuff that normally comes with f.i., then just get yourself a factory high hp car, co'z problems and issues automatically comes when you start modifying your car, especially when it comes to forced induction.

I suppose the real reason is I prefer the overall appearance of the F-body style, specifically the TA. I know the cost of the mod(s) would be less than the full purchase price of the new Cadillac or even a new Corvette. But those cars dont look as nice to me as a 4th Gen TA. If a new 4th gen f-body with 600 plus HP were available off the showroom floor, I think sales would be higher than the Cadillac or Corvette. The cadillac is the exact opposite of the F-body and corvette regarding the body lines. Personally, I think the caddy looks silly. And the remake of the 5th gen camaro is not quite the image of a 4th gen TA. Make a 4th Gen F-body with the 5th gen powerplant, and then compare. Also the new Corvette, or at least 2 years ago, the front has a strong resemblance to a civic or celica or some other pos import car. I remember seeing a corvette parked next to the import car. I couldnt believe the resemblance. Also....................it seems most corvette owners look down on F-body owners. I dunno, but an 02 m6 Ls1 vette and an 02 m6 ls1 TA, I like the TA way better.

Procharger all the way... I equally love the f body but the only car i'd give mine up for is the C6Z06. You'll love your T/A with FI. And so what if others look down on you, unless they have some power you'll be looking back at them.

I would supercharge your current ride if you are looking for raw power and the feel of it. Newer cars are overly refined in MOST cases. Not to mention, if you break something, you can prob replace cheaper.

BTW, I own one of the uglier cars mentioned






BTW, get a centri supercharger.
