that kind of thing has been around for a pretty long time. the one i remember seeing before sat in under the hood and was electric and made the sound of a blow off valve.

if i saw a car going by and it sounded like a turbo spooling or an blow off valve between shifts and the sounds were coming from the back of the car i'd be like hmmmm..unless it was a turbo mr2 or something, lol.
