Need help with turbo 5.3 in a 2003 silverado
a second way is to tap the fitting on the drivers side just above the oil filter (aluminum) and run from there.
as far as the return just drill and tap the oil pan towards the front of the pan, i used to dump my return in the passenger side valve cover but that made some messy leaks.
and if you are open for suggestions, i would say stay away from rear mounts, for the same money you could have a front mount next to the motor and not worry about an electric pump failing and ruining your turbo or having it suck water.
Reason i say this is because i built my rear mount on the same truck 01 4.8 and always had an annoying buzz from the scavenge pump, was always scared of driving through water, always felt like the turbo was working harder to move the air (spinning faster), and i could never show it off under my hood! i switched it up front and have alot better response now.
