Damage in turbo sts
Damage in turbo sts Hi
I have a rear mount sts gt67 in my forged 347 camaro.
A few days ago I left my car in the shop to remove the cats and when the guy in the shop hit the gas one debrit go to the turbo and hit the wheel and make very bad damage
I dont know if rebuilding the head unit is enough. I can see damage in the propel and the inside of the turbine have something like an scratch, any idea Where can i repair this?
The plan B is buy another turbo, maybe the turbonetics gtk650. What do you think? Is there any other budget options?

I hope the idiots pay for your turbo. I'm sure it was weld slag that went through there. The proper procedure would be to remove the turbo exhaust housing and run the vehicle to blow out all the crap before letting it go through your exducer wheel. Lots of companies rebuild turbos, they are very simple devices, the balancing is the part that makes it so average joe can't do his own.
