Rear Mount Oil Leak
Rear Mount Oil Leak I made a post a couple weeks ago about oil spitting out of my exhaust. I have an STS rear mount with a GT 67. I built the motor and about a week later oil not just leaked but was being spat out of the exhaust. I haven't taken the turbo off yet cause Im out of state right now, but it boggles me. I figure its either the turbo seals or the scavenge pump not doing its job. This is my first force inducted car and I don't know much about the system. Any help would be grrrrrrrrrreatly appreciated.

Either you are feeding more oil than you should (maybe needs a restrictor on the feed line), your scavenge pump isn't working or is pumping the wrong direction, you have a blockage in the drain line somewhere, you have the turbo clocked such that the drain is inefficient, or the drain runs uphill somewhere.
How can I test or know if the pump itself gave out? the return line runs right back in the motor through the oil servicing cap and I checked it with the motor running and nothing comes back, it all dumps out of the exhaust. I'll check and see if the line is clogged. Thanks for the info.
