Default D1SC on a 383 with 10lb - joke!

my LT1 finally stopped breaking up at 5500 rpm after converting to coil / cylinder.
It was funny to drive before, now it is just a joke.
315/35/17 drag radials break loose at 60mph - it burns rubber through all 3 gears - I can't wait to find the fine line going around corners under throttle.

I'm just kidding - I love the power and have had fast cars for 30 years - but this thing is funny! My 2nd supercharged car and I'll never go back.
I know I could set up suspension for traction, but it's a true street car with big sway bars and nice struts etc.

How / why do you guys have 700+ rwhp street cars?

I didn't have too many traction issues around 600 rwhp with 275/40-17 MT et street radials. I do have a 6 speed and a turbo though so that may make a difference as my friends procharged gto blew the tires off everywhere it went even with MT ET street bias ply tires. I've been driving around a little bit at 720 rwhp now but I'm on 26x11.5-15 M&H cheater slicks, but you are right it's a bit nutty

The CTS-V we built with an F-1A back at the old shop that had 864 rwhp was (and still is) a handful for the owner. His local Cadillac dealers mechanic wanted to go for a ride several years ago. The owner got on it on a two lane highway and the car got loose at about sixty and did three donuts. Luckily nobody and nothing got hurt. Bob

mine has Nito DR, I'll do better with MT - but with convertor flash - it is freakin AWESOME!

I've had many 11 second cars n/a that came on strong and predictable - with the blower still predictable - but holy crap! At ~ 550rwhp and 'street' radials it is so much fun. Completely normal when driving like normal, but mash the pedal - it's a whole new game.

As Bob said - driver must have experience / respect for the power.
