Koolrayz Wild Ride
Blew a radiator hose on the first hit at the shootout and stuffed it into the wall on the big end. The car in the other lane had a GoPro so I got a video. Also got a time slip lol 8.82@128 Track photographer shot the launch on that pass so I that that also. I dont think it is worth fixing as I needed to go from the 8.50 cage to a 25.5. Hope to have a new roller soon. I will be parting out the car later in the month.

Well look at it this way, it is an opportunity to come back bigger and better!

Man Ray when Dave told me you wrecked, first thing came into my mind was hope he's ok. Then second thing that came to my mind was you posting in that thread in the F/I section saying you wanted to sell it and go X275 with a ls swapped fox.
Hope you can still do that, or run X275 with a new roller and your current parts you have.
Can't wait to see what you do next, surely it will be lighter, faster, and better all around!

When I read the first post I misread it and thought that the GoPro was in your car. When I watched the video I thought wow, that doesn't look like his car. Who's that other Trans Am in the video? Damn, they just took off. Oh, that's the other car.
I hope you're alright and it looks like the damage is limited to the body. I wish you luck with fixing it and if you're interested I have my 1993 Camaro roller listed for sale for $500. It has some small basic weight reduction, but if you're looking to update your chassis and transfer the parts over it would be perfect. I'd also accept parts trades on the car. The link is in my sig. Either way you choose to go I wish you luck with the reconstruction.

Koolrayz,
Not to make light of the situation but I hope You're still holding Your head high:
- Some racers never run an 8sec 1/4mi their entire life and You do it passing thru the traps sideways.
- Most people who turn that far sideways (at the drags) usually climb out of the car upside down. Kudos for keeping it off the turtle shell!
Regards,
Kurt Betton
