Default tc78 vs st80 on a 370??

Okay so my question is which would be better suited for a 370.... I have a brand new tc78 which is why i am asking.... looking for around 750rwhp without killing the turbo and i know the tc78 will be running out of steam around there so any input/experience let me know....

I run a 370 and a TC78 and while it is strong the turbo is at its limit and definitely needs more turbo on this motor. I would go with a S480 or something better suited for the engine.

I freaking love the ST80
Go with ST80 1.15 A/R and 87mm turbine

Problem with the TC78 is the turbine wheel is only 68mm, way to small for a 370. I have a ST80 in the classfieds if your interested. Not enough attention is paid to the turbine side of the turbo when people talk turbo size. I can talk from experience I had a TC76 and the car would pull hard to about 5K and just fall flat, that was with a 383.

LS3 heads and intake will be fine. Just another reason I wouldn't go with a TC78, good flowing intake side of the motor and a small turbine on the exhaust makes for big back pressure.

I did some research on the LS3 intake vs LS6 intake for boost and the LS6 picked up power everywhere over the LS3 even with the stock snout. Also the LS6 is a one piece intake isn't the LS3 2 pieces?

I'm not sure how you would compare a LS3 & LS6 intake they aren't interchangable.

He's asking about L92/LS3 heads which don't utilize cathedral intakes.. 317s and LS6 would be fine

The LS6 head isn't even close to flowing what the LS3/L92 head flows. Very few stock casting ported LS6 heads flow what a untouched LS3/L92 flows. Here's a cut and paste from a post.

Richard@WCCH Did the flow testing of the new L92 heads.

I just finished flow testing a new stock L92 head. All I can says is…….WOW! What a nice part.
I’d like to publicly thank StreetnStrip for the opportunity to test this head.
The test head has casting number 5364. Here’s the tale of the tape……..

Yes I have friend who is selling me a ls3 intake for cheap and would rather have a head that flows better in stock form. I don't have a ls6 intake due to the fact I sold it when I started my build. I believe the ls3 is a one piece as is the ls7.. The ls2 is a two piece intake.
