Would this be a good upgrade for a 6.0?
Eagle 6.125 rods w/arp 2000 rod bolts
JE Forged Pistons are 4.020 bore .020 over
-32cc valve reliefs
I can get all this for $650
It will be twin turbo with 60 mm's. It will be street driven a ton and raced almost every weekend in the 1/8th or 1/4.
I also planned to use a used LS1 intake, LS6 valve springs, and a LS6 Cam. My car already hooks really well with previous 1.3 60fts with a big block chevy. My goal with this combo is 5.80 in the 1/8th without blowing it up.
What do you guys think? What kind of compression would I see? Also, it will be fed E85 so does the cam profile seem okay with the rest of the set up. Trying to do this semi budget.
Thanks.
I was worried the compression would be too low for a street car and low boost for what I want to do. Drive as a daily driver and race it hard.
Someone else recommended that for my goals of sub 6 in the 1/8th or a 1000rwhp that just rod bolts, rings, cam, spring kit, and head studs would be good and I could get all that for $400 or so. I guess I am not looking in the right places because It adds up to a lot more than that when I check out websites.
The 6.0 is stock but with 317 heads it will have twin pte 62's with a .58 housing on EFI. If someone could actually list some part numbers for those items (rod bolts, rings, etc..) that would help a ton. I plan to run this on E85
